Calvin Klein Fragrances for Women

Imagine trying to start a business in New York City after the turn of the century in 1900. A gentleman named Calvin Klein did just that in 1968, when he founded a coat shop, Calvin Klein Limited. Two years later, additions to the line included sportswear and women's lingerie. By 1977, he had expanded his inventory to include scarves, shoes, sunglasses, and belts, among other things. Seeing the trend that jeans were taking in the United States, he developed a designer jean that reportedly sold 200,000 pairs the first week. Calvin Klein jeans remain a sought after brand to this day and easily rival other designer jean brands.

The 1970s did not bode well for a fragrance business. When the market began its recovery, and more items were in the inventory to carry a test, new fragrances were introduced. The result was a huge success. By presenting quality, consumer-focused products, Klein was named "America's Best Designer" in 1993. Coty, Inc. of New York bought the fragrance licensing agreements in May 2005.

Quite a few of the perfumes and colognes are unisex, including CK one and CK be. Eternity, Obsession, and Escape were brought out during different years in both men's cologne and women's perfume. Not only were the scents well-stated, they were unlike others that were popular on the market and still remain unique today.

Eternity for women, based on spice, fruits, and amber, earned a successful number of fans for the daytime perfume. Finding the hit with Eternity, Eternity Moment was launched in an attempt to follow the line. It is more of a light, flirty floral blend of pomegranate and water lily, among other scents, including a light hint of musk.

Euphoria for women came on the scene in 2005. Persimmon and pomegranate were the main highlights of this unusually deep scent. Euphoria Blossom for women hit the market in 2007, with the scent of things like apple, lotus, and black orchid blending to make a feel good, rich floral perfume. The latest fragrance for women is Beauty, introduced in 2010 and created by Sophie Labbe. A blend of such scents as jasmine and cedar makes Beauty more of a complementary fragrance than a deep, seductive lure.

The story of Calvin Klein the man and Calvin Klein the company are ones of success. Regardless of rocky times, the trademark CK is recognized around the world for its quality and commitment.
